I thought it would be good to share this news from IMIS -  a new degree course has been launched at Staffordshire University designed specifically for IMIS graduates.

A distance learning BSc in Information Systems Management, the course is open only to IMIS Higher Dimplomates and is fully accredited by and in association with IMIS. On completion of the course you will have a BSc (Hons) qualification and be eligible for full membership of IMIS - designated MIMIS.

Read our news story on the course in our student section of the site for further details.

Excellent news indeed! Wish I had this option to consider back when I had completed my IMIS Higher Diploma in '08. It also looks like an excellent programme with modules on security, applied research, and systems audit. With the prospect of getting full membership status, it has a great value-added incentive. Excellent work! Keep it up!

This is excellent. We should not end at higher diploma level only. This means that the level of Imis in terms of improvements on the developments of IS profession will go higher. Congrates IMIS board

Thanks for the launching of this Bsc(Hons), What about sponsorship to those who have a desire to proceed to such levels but are limited due to financial problems? Please consider that. Thanks.
